Hello everyone, the Traveling Storygirl here.
Marisa is the name I was given at birth, but ever since then I jumped at the opportunity to tell stories. A classmate once gave me the nickname Storygirl, and it has stuck ever since.
I began this blog to document my adventures as I began my year of studying abroad in the quaint town of Heidelberg, Germany. But why limit myself to telling stories of my adventures as they happen? I want to share my travel stories, tips, and lessons from my 23 years of travel.
Thus, TheTravelingStorygirl was born.
But you didn’t come here just to learn about why I began my blog. You came to this page to learn a little bit about me. Well here it goes.
I’m a broadcast journalism student at Pepperdine University. When I’m not busy documenting the dramatic sunsets over the beaches of Malibu, I can be found dedicating myself to the sisterhood of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority or reporting the news on NewsWaves32. Currently, I’m in law school which takes up a lot of my time that I enjoy devoting to travel, but I still enjoy what I do. I love traveling and have currently visited all 50 states in the U.S.A. and 56 foreign countries, although I’ll always call California my home.
Four years later, I am working on expanding my brand while maintaining a focus on the thing I love most – travel. People always ask me why I’m always traveling and it’s honestly because I can’t get enough of it.
The world is a book and those who don’t travel read only the first page
In my opinion, life is too short to only read one page, and God knows I love to read. My goal is to inspire people just like me, or maybe those who are nothing like me to get out and travel.
What do you work as? To travel isn’t it very costly? I would love to travel and tell story’s about the places I visit but I could never afford to keep going all around the world. How do you do it?
A lot of my travels have occurred from me living and studying in different areas! I have a few affiliate companies I work with that also give me travel perks!
